Mah-Jongg Fundraiser Benefiting Christian Community Service Center

Get ready to lay down some tiles for a great cause. Bellaire United Methodist Church (BUMC) is putting together a mah-jongg fundraiser to benefit Christian Community Service Center (CCSC) and its mission to serve the poor, hungry, disabled and otherwise needy while respecting their religious, ethnic or cultural differences.

The fundraiser, offering both a full-day tournament and more casual play, will take place Tuesday, August 13, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., at Bellaire United Methodist Church, 4417 Bellaire Blvd., 77401. Tournament players must be experienced enough to finish four games within one hour. Private tables are available for groups of four players with a more casual schedule and skill level, but this is not a mah-jongg class. 

Tournament play is $50 per player, a private table for four is $200. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
