MD Anderson Day at The Health Museum

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is returning to The John P. McGovern Museum of Health Medical Science to host its annual "MD Anderson Day" on Thursday, July 25, 2019. Staff and physicians from MD Anderson will provide attendees of The Health Museum with healthy living and wellness resources at no cost, as well as educational materials on ways to reduce their cancer risks. This free event coincides with The Health Museum's Free Family Thursday, which is open to the public every Thursday.

Among the activities planned for the day are an interactive 15-foot-wide by 19-foot-long by 13-foot-tall giant inflatable walk-through lungs display, an exhibit that demonstrates a healthy versus a diseased lung; a giant wall to sign and write messages to loved ones affected by cancer, anti-tobacco and cancer prevention information displays, a body composition scale, photo booths, and a "Too Cool to Smoke" puppet show.
