A Night at the Texas Academy Awards of Child Advocacy

Children at Risk is a research and advocacy nonprofit leading the way in improving the quality of life for children in Texas. Children at Risk considers the whole child by tracking issues in children’s health, safety, education, and economic security.

This year, their annual Accolades Luncheon and Night In Gala will be merged to bring attendees a truly unique, virtual event with guests joining from all over the state.

Their goal is to raise funds and honor individuals and organizations who show passion and dedication to improving the lives of children. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to dominate daily life, Children at Risk additionally wants to recognize the dedication of healthcare heroes and community leaders across this great state. Communities are safer and families are comforted every day by these hard-working Texans.

The Lifetime Healthcare Hero Award will be presented to Stephen W. Love, President and CEO of DFW Hospital Council. Sheila Johnson will be recognized as the Lifetime Child Advocate. Other heroes from across the state will be honored as well.
