Navy Blue is hosting their first collaboration dinner, Noche at Navy Blue, with Suerte and Este’s Fermin Nunez and La Condesa’s Rick Lopez, on Tuesday, April 11 benefitting World Central Kitchen, Chefs for Ukraine.
Owner Aaron Bludorn, Navy Blue Executive Chef, Jerrod Zifchak and pastry chef Marie Riddle have teamed up with the Austin superstar chefs for a one-night-only five-course dinner that will pair Nunez’s and Lopez’s Mexican cooking with Navy Blue’s Gulf Coast cuisine. Guests will enjoy dishes such as the Tostado de Carreta with shrimp, octopus, and avocado created by Chef Fermin Nunez and Tamale Veracruzana with crawfish, bacon, tomatoes, and olives created by Chef Rick Lopez. For the main course, patrons will feast on a Cochinita served family style with tortillas and black beans, pickles and habanero salsa, and roasted zucchini with salsa macha and salsa cacahuate.
