Pots for Plots: Permanent Bin Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
Join us on Wednesday, March 20th at Quality Feed & Garden for a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the installation of our first permanent Pots for Plots collection bin!
Pots for Plots is our community-driven initiative tackling plastic waste by giving single-use plant pots a new life at local nurseries and farms. Last year alone, we collected a whopping 15,173 pots across 9 sites, benefiting 24 partners and making a significant impact on our environment.
With this permanent bin at Quality Feed & Garden, you can now recycle your used plant pots year-round! This is a major milestone for our program, and we invite you to celebrate with us as we officially open this new chapter in sustainable practices.
The event will include:
* A ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening the permanent bin.
* Speeches from representatives of Bayou Preservation Association, Quality Feed & Garden, and community partners.
* Light refreshments and snacks.
* Opportunities to learn more about the Pots for Plots program and how you can get involved.
Let's pave the way for a greener tomorrow, one pot at a time!
