Power of Literacy Luncheon, Beyond the Pearls: Wit, Wisdom and Wonder of Barbara Bush

The 5th Annual Power of Literacy Luncheon, chaired by Betty Hrncir and Sidney Faust, will be held on Thursday, Oct. 22 as a virtual “literary fête”. Phillips 66 will once again serve as Title Sponsor. In keeping with the theme, Beyond the Pearls: Wit, Wisdom and Wonder of Barbara Bush, guests will enjoy an afternoon of treasured tales masterfully strung together by those who knew and loved her best. Current speakers include Neil and Maria Bush, Courtney and Jim Nantz, Secretary Robert Gates, Ambassador Sichan Siv and Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian Jon Meacham.
