ROCO Connections: Musicians-In-Medicine Initiative

Dr. Mei Rui, concert pianist, faculty in the Department of Neurosurgery, and Director of the Music-In-Medicine Initiative at MD Anderson, curates a special Valentine’s Day concert as part of the inaugural Musicians-in-Medicine Initiative (MIMI) —Concerts in the Park at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Going beyond patient experience, Dr. Rui will be collaborating with ROCO musicians and delving into harnessing evidence-based “prescription” music medicine as a non-pharmacological and non-invasive intervention to enhance patient outcomes, provide wellness, and enhance surgical performance.
