Run for DREAMS – 5K Trail Run and Family Fun K
There will be an inaugural walk and run to raise awareness for Dysautonomia on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Burroughs Park in Tomball. Over 70 million people worldwide suffer from this little-known, yet very common disease, which can drastically alter lives – many times turning a strong healthy individual into a bed-ridden medical mystery overnight.
Check-in starts at 8 a.m. and the first race steps off at 9 a.m. Post-event activities will go until 11 a.m.
Registration includes a t-shirt, post-race snacks and refreshments, and a raffle ticket. T-shirts are guaranteed only to those registered by Friday, Sept. 23, 2016. Stroller riders are free, but will not receive a t-shirt.
All funds raised go directly to Dysautonomia International, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is dedicated to identifying the causes and cures for all forms of autonomic disorders and to enhance the quality-of-life of people currently living with these illnesses through research, education, advocacy and awareness.
