Shaggy Dog Rescue Fest & 5K

Join us for our second annual Shaggy Dog Rescue Fest & 5K and help us raise awareness and support for the Houston Shaggy Dog Rescue. After the 5K run and 1 mile Pup Fun Run, stay for the post-race festival featuring live music, local craft beer, dog vendor booths and pet activities.  The festival is free for anybody to attend, so bring the whole family! Dogs on leashes are allowed. Race is rain or shine. 

Please know that this is a chip-timed race sanctioned by USATF. Awards will be given for the top finishers for male and female participants for each race division. Snacks will be on hand before and during race with water stations available along the route.

Online registration will close April 14th, 2016 at 5 p.m. Registration will be open day of event at 7 a.m. and close at 8:45 a.m. The individual 5K will begin at 9 a.m. with the 1 mile Pup Fun Run beginning at 10 a.m.
