The Sky's The Limit Nora's Home Gala
Nora’s Home invites guests to its 9th annual gala, The Sky’s the Limit, celebrating the gift of life and flight. Attendees will arrive at The Post Oak Hotel where the event will lift off at the cocktail reception, and they will have the opportunity to bid on exciting auction items such as a helicopter tour of Galveston, premier experience in a Houston Rockets Suite and a trip to Costa Rica. Later in the night, the party will take flight as guests hit the dance floor to the tunes of The David Caceres Band. Throughout the night, guests will have the unique opportunity to interact with those at Nora’s Home through a live stream, which will give guests a first-hand look at the camaraderie and sense of family that the home brings to those living there. All funds raised throughout the event will allow Nora’s Home to continue to provide a safe, affordable and comfortable place for transplant patients and families to stay so that they can focus on what really matters, the health and recovery of their loved ones.
In addition to raising funds to assist organ failure and transplant patients receiving treatment in the Texas Medical Center, this year’s gala will also celebrate its honoree and inspiration for the aviation theme, Million Air. Through the provision of rapid organ recovery and transportation services, Million Air plays an integral part in the transplant journey. The theme also stems from organization’s goal this year, which reflects the spirit of the Golden Age of Aviation. During the 1920s, pioneers of flight were breaking and setting aviation speed and distance records the same way Nora’s Home aims to break its past fundraising records and help as many transplant patients and families in need as possible.
