Spring into Easter with West U
Hopping through West U
On March 27th, the Easter Bunny will make his appearance by "hopping" through West U in the back of a convertible car, led by the West U Police Department, as he makes his way down the streets greeting residents. The route will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Recreation Center and pass by seven West U parks concluding back at the Recreation Center. Easter Bunny Photo Opportunity
Another exciting event gives West U residents the opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny at the racquetball court located in the Recreation Center. Following social distance protocols, the Easter Bunny will remain behind the glass inside the racquetball court while families remain on the outside of the glass. Registration for this event will become available online to residents Thursday, March 25th at 5:00 p.m. and is required for participation. Photo opportunities will be available on Saturday, March 27 and Tuesday, March 30.
Can You Guess How Many Eggs Are Inside Di-Eggo?
For the final event, Parks and Recreation will feature its annual Di-Eggo egg count contest beginning March 18. Di-Eggo will be in the lobby of the Recreation Center for residents to guess how many eggs are inside the container brought to West U by the Easter Bunny. If you are good at guessing, view the photos to the left and right or visit the City's Facebook page to look at Di-Eggo and let the guessing begin! To submit your guess email James Browning at, [email protected] with your name, your guess, your age, address and phone number. The last day to submit your guesses will be April 2.
