Strut Your Mutt

Strut your MuttStrut Your Mutt is a family- and dog-friendly 1-mile walk and festival in Houston on Saturday, Oct. The Spay-Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) is participating in this walk put on by Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and is raising funds to help save lives! Team SNAP is looking for animal (or exercise) lovers to join our Strut Your Mutt team! SNAP gets to keep 100 percent of the proceeds we raise (minus transaction fees). Our goal is $50,000 and we know together, we can get there!

We will be having a kick-off party a week prior to make costumes for doggies and humans participating. Don't have a 4-legged walking pal? Come join us anyway! There will be unlimited canine kisses. TOP FUNDRAISER gets their pet's face as the new SNAP T-shirt! We all know you think your dog or cat is the cutest, and this is their chance for their picture-perfect face to be on our new t-shirts that are worn all throughout Texas!

The Spay-Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) is a non-profit veterinary service and has been helping animals since 1993 when we were founded out of an impassioned desire to end the killing in the shelters. Since then, we have helped over 500,000 cats and dogs. Our mission is to end the suffering and death of cats and dogs due to overpopulation and preventable diseases, especially in low-income areas—a goal we work towards every day. Joining our team and/or donating to our cause helps save lives and reduces over-crowding in shelters by preventing unwanted litters. SNAP operates clinics in San Antonio, Houston and Pasadena, TX which includes one mobile clinic in both San Antonio and Houston. Our stationary clinics are open to the public and no appointment is necessary for a low-cost wellness visit, and appointment can be made with no income qualifications for spay/neuter surgery. Our mobile clinics currently drive to underserved areas of Houston and San Antonio to provide free spay/neuter and a rabies vaccine to those on government assistance.

Our skilled surgeons are extremely attentive, detailed and fast; allowing us to do higher volumes of safe, effective spay-neuter surgeries that prevent animal overpopulation while keeping costs to a minimum. Because our stationary clinics are open to the public, every time you pay for a service at SNAP, not only are you saving money, you are also paying it forward to a pet in need. SNAP is possible thanks to you, grants, donations and fundraising to keep helping the animals. To date, SNAP has helped over 500,000 dogs and cats and in 2014, SNAP provided over 37,000 spays and neuters for cats and dogs and over 10,000 of those were at zero cost to the animal owner! Join TEAM SNAP and help us put an end to animal overpopulation and suffering. Invest in your community and help empower pet owners to be the best they can be!
