Summer Species: Invasive Plant Eradication Unit Pop-Up
Artist Mark Dion created the Invasive Plant Eradication Unit in 2011 as an interactive artwork responding to one of Buffalo Bayou’s key challenges: the proliferation of non-native species. During Buffalo Bayou Partnership's 2025 Summer Species series, the Invasive Plant Eradication Unit will pop-up at The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park on second Saturday mornings from 9 – 11am to share information on common invasive species in our area, the importance of native species, and what we can do to sustain them.
Visitors will also be able to make native seed “bombs” to help spread native species at home or in the park and meet our friends from the Native Plant Society of Texas!
