Texans vs. Jaguars

The Houston Texans season opener vs. Jacksonville Jaguars will take place Sun., Sept. 10 at NRG Stadium starting at 12 p.m. 

The Texans have several special events to pay tribute to Harvey victims, first responders and the city of Houston. Country music star Clay Walker will perform the national anthem. Challenger, an American bald eagle, will fly through the stadium during the anthem. First responders from the Sugar Land Police and Fire Departments, Pasadena Fire Department and Harris County Sheriff's Office will participate as Texas flag holders. Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo, Houston Fire Chief Samuel Pena and Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez will lead the team onto the field as Homefield Advantage Captains. 

This is the annual Liberty White Out game, where fans are asked to wear white.
