Theatrical Thursday

Girls Inc. of Houston will host hands on activities beginning at 12 p.m. (limited quantities available). Crafts include racing leprechauns and windsock.

11:30 – 11:50 a.m.: HGOco’s First Songs: Young children from birth to preschool age, along with their caregivers will learn soothing songs through the joy of reading. A teaching artist will help participants use music as a tool to interact with their young ones during reading time. 

12-12:50 p.m.: HGOco’s Storybook Opera: An engaging and enjoyable introduction to opera for young children lead by our singing storytellers in 30 minute segments of captivating fun! A variety of books, as well as opera themed stories will be told in English and bilingual English-Spanish presentations. 

12-4 p.m.: The Houston Public Library Express at Discovery Green will be open. 

1-1:30 p.m.: DIY Opera Glasses craft with HGOco.

1:30-2:15 p.m.: Explore the properties of air and air pressure with Mad Science in their "Up, Up and Away" show. A few lucky kids will get to ride on the Mad Science hovercraft. (located on the Anheuser-Busch Stage)
