Third Annual Youth Empowerment Luncheon & Fund Drive
More than 200 members of the community will join PAIR on May 6 to learn about refugees resettled in our city and to support PAIR’s social, emotional and academic mentoring programs benefiting over 400 refugee youth each year.

Attendees will learn about the opportunities our city has to welcome and support these newcomers. Dr. Yehuda Sharim, Scholar at the Kinder Institute for Urban Research and a project leader for Houston in Motion: Empowering Houston’s Migrant Communities, will speak about the rich diversity refugees bring to our city, the complex process of adjustment, and the programs that can ensure that refugees adapt and succeed.
