Valčuha Conducts West Side Story Produced by Houston Symphony
Get a jump start on Hispanic Heritage Month with a can’t-miss performance led by Houston Symphony Music Director Juraj Valčuha as he makes his inaugural Miller Outdoor Theatre debut.
The full Houston Symphony performs lively, dance-inspired pieces, including Revueltas’s Dances from Estancia and Ginastera’s Sensemayá. Then, Leonard Bernstein’s beloved West Side Story takes center stage, complete with all its rhythmic flair. Finally, Ravel’s sultry and ever-popular Boléro caps off the evening in this celebration of music and community.
