Volunteer Houston Together

Each year, the Volunteer Houston Together event recognizes outstanding volunteers and increases the awareness of local service organizations that rely on volunteers to meet the needs of vulnerable communities in the Gulf Coast region by sharing the stories that inspire each of us.

The 2022 event will be held on Saturday, April 23, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Memorial Park, South Picnic Loop. The event is free and open to the public. It coincides with the end of National Volunteer Week. The outdoor event will recognize outstanding volunteers, connect nonprofits with new volunteers, and promote a sense of community and excitement through volunteerism.

The event will include a nonprofit showcase with mini volunteer projects, live trivia hosted by Challenge Entertainment, Service Year alumni gatherings, a foldaway desk drive for students in need sponsored by Soren Transport, food trucks, a celebration of spotlight volunteers, a Kid Zone, a blood drive with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, and the opportunity to take selfies on a red carpet to show that volunteers are everyday superstars!

This celebration of volunteerism is co-hosted by Volunteer Houston, JustServe, Houston ToolBank, and the City of Houston Department of Neighborhoods.
