Women's History Month: Historical Points of Interest with Author Anne Sloan
Discover women who made Houston downtown history as The Heritage Society celebrates Women's History Month. On Thursday, March 17, The Heritage Society will conduct its Speaker Series and celebrate Women’s History Month via a lunch-and-learn and Zoom at 1100 Bagby Street. After the lecture, the group will walk over to the historical marker for the 1977 National Women’s Convention for a photo.
The tickets for the Speaker Series are $5, and you can bring your lunch. Find ticket information for in-person and online attendance here.
The Heritage Society is also celebrating Women’s History with house tours that focus on a public school, Texas property rights, and women in the Arts. Tours are available from Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sundays for reservations made in advance. Tour information is available here.
