YES Prep is known for going above and beyond to support its students, families, staff and the neighborhoods surrounding each campus. This provides an opportunity for families in these neighborhoods to receive essential resources and support while connecting with community organizations and school representatives. Community partners include Houston Food Bank, Houston Public Library, Harris County Public Library, Family to Family Network, Texas Eye Institute, Legacy Community Clinic and DePelchin Children's Center.
North Rankin Elementary and Hobby Elementary are two of a record three new YES Prep elementary schools opening in August. The 25-year-old district began opening elementary schools five years ago to meet growing demand for high-quality education for younger students and will serve 20,000 students on 24 campuses in pre-K through 12th grade this school year.
