Fiesta then siesta
West University senior neighbors, including Jo Lukens, Lupe Palacious, Betty Hanus, Alice Quintanilla and John Palmer, congregated for the September theme meal at the West University Community Building. The theme was “fiesta,” and everyone gobbled up the fajitas with borracho beans and all the fixings. Dessert was sponsored by The Village of Meyerland. Jose Justino Barrera from JJB Entertainment provided folk music from Mexico. There was a movie playing too, The Lucky One. Theme meals are held monthly, typically on the last Tuesday of the month. If you are interested in coming, call 713-662-5895 to register. The cost is $5.
