Celebrate
Sometimes it isn’t just black and white. But the party Elizabeth and Alan Stein threw to celebrate 35 years of marriage at The Wynden on Post Oak was transformed with black and white drapes, tables, a dance floor and lighted columns. A beautiful female saxophone player strolled throughout the crowd in her white, jeweled dress and her bejeweled white saxophone to keep partiers on their feet, along with the nine-piece band Password. As a surprise, the band called Alan and Elizabeth to the dance floor and played I’ll Always Love You, and then broke in to Let’s Get It On. The Steins’ children, Laura Elizabeth and Jacob, partied with them. Many of the Steins’ friends – from the ninth grade, when they met, to the present – shared in the revelry. By the time their 200 friends left the party, they were seeing colors.
