Strangers in the night

Alicia Cribbs and Kyle McIlheran initially met through a mutual friend in 2013, but it did not go as intended. They ran into each other six months later, and they have been running toward each other ever since. Alicia went to Kyle’s home one morning and noticed candles lit in the kitchen and dogs with bows around their necks. She said, “Yes.” They wed April 9 at the Kiehne Creek Farm in Fredericksburg in a field of bluebonnets, wildflowers and a few cows. Kyle surprised Alicia by singing The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra. A late-night snack of grilled cheese and Paulie’s cookies was served before the couple departed for Belize, where they swam with sharks and stingrays. The Best is Yet to Come, say the parents of the couple, Judd and Sheila Cribbs and Julie Wareing McIlheran.
