Marilyn McDowell’s home in Southside Place was transformed into a Winter Wonderland to celebrate Nancy Harper’s 65th birthday. Decorations for the tea party were silver, sparkling crystal and white. The menu included finger sandwiches, homemade cheese straws and hearts, dipped strawberries and scones with lemon curd and preserves. A chocolate cake with strawberry filling, decorated with snowy trees, glitter and roses, was served for something sweet, and prosecco was provided to toast the birthday girl (pictured). The floral arrangement included 65 white roses in honor of Nancy’s milestone birthday. Hostesses were McDowell, Pamela Blakely, Debbie Berner, Patrice Brewer, Ann Mitchell, Brenda Owens, Stefanie Pollard and Connie Williamson. In lieu of gifts, guests were asked to “pay it forward” by bringing donations for Dress for Success Foundation.
