Duke
My mornings in Bellaire start early when I walk my owner up to Bellaire’s Starbucks before sun-up and just hang out for an hour or so while he and his old guy buddies try to solve all the world’s problems. While outside, I wag my tail, and body, for the young and old who stop to give me hugs and belly rubs. Some of my regular Starbucks friends toss me treats from afar to challenge me. I think they keep a tally of how many I catch, so I try hard to catch them all. If it’s a quiet day, I stand my paws up on the glass to look in and check on the guys. On my way home I often get to visit with the kids in Condit Elementary School’s carpool line; some are no taller than me. Other days I walk my owner a bit farther to the Bellaire Coffee Shop for more hugs and treats. It’s all in a day’s work.
