The gal pals donned white robes and slippers and claimed a spa day to help Laurie Selzer celebrate her 60th at the Travaasa Spa in Austin. Carol Frankel, Harriet Choice, Sherrie Kaplan, Sandy Burke and Laurie have known each other since their University of Texas days. Their children grew up together, and they have celebrated birthdays for close to 35 years. The special outings are when each turns 60. Kale smoothies, leisure walks and hikes were part of the loose agenda that started Friday. They headed back to Houston at noon Saturday in time for date night.
