Meet Therapy Dog Tootsie and Support Houston Hospice Butterfly Program

Scout & Molly’s West U will host Tootsie, an AKC certified therapy dog, to help raise funds for the Houston Hospice Butterfly Program. Tootsie is a therapy dog with Faithful Paws Pet Therapy Program sponsored by Bellaire United Methodist Church. Through this Faithful Paws, Tootsie serves Houston Hospice in the Texas Medical Center. As a therapy dog she brings love and joy while serving in hospitals, senior facilities, libraries and schools during exam season. 

To better serve children, Houston Hospice initiated The Butterfly Program; providing special services for children with life-limiting conditions who are aged 18 and younger. This program includes perinatal hospice for families who have received a prenatal diagnosis indicating their baby will likely have a limited lifespan. A team of physicians, nurses, social workers, nurse’s aides and volunteers with expertise in children's care, are devoted to caring for children and their families.
