Learning from a pro

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve conducted a private baseball clinic for a group of St. Anne Catholic School students (pictured). Second graders Isa Garcia, Adam Schoppa, John Dominguez and Dominic D’Ambra spent the afternoon learning from the best and practiced batting, base running and fielding. Altuve took time for autographs and photos. The lucky players participated in the baseball clinic as an auction item benefitting the St. Anne School Foundation. Dominic’s father was thrilled for his son. “A MVP-caliber player tossing to 8 year olds,” D’Ambra said. “Like a dream come true, isn’t it? How many guys in the Big Leagues do that? This is something these kids will never forget.”
