Over 200 beds donated
Rob Ball, Astros shortstop Carlos Correa, and Ball’s children, Layton and Hayes (pictured, from left), volunteered over the summer at a charity event for underprivileged families, hosted by the nonprofit Houston Children’s Charity and Mattress Firm. Ball is a board member for HCC, which provides assistance for underprivileged, abused and disabled children. More than 200 beds were distributed to families in need. The event, called A Better Night’s Sleep, has provided over 11,000 beds, including the mattresses, frames, sheets, pillows and blankets, to local children in need for the last 10 years.
