Whole Lotta Yoga
Join your favorite yoga studios and fellow fitness fans at Levy Park on Saturday, Oct. 7 for Whole Lotta Yoga, a one-day festival highlighting the best of Houston yoga and benefiting Whole Planet Foundation. Whole Lotta Yoga, from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., offers unique 30-minute classes, group workshops, acro yoga, live music and dance.
The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place on the Main Lawn of Levy Park. All proceeds benefit The Whole Planet Foundation, a Whole Foods Market non-profit dedicated to alleviating poverty worldwide through entrepreneurship. This includes grants to microfinance institutions in Asia, Africa, the Americas and the Middle East, who in turn develop and offer microenterprise loan programs, training and other financial services to the self-employed poor.
Tickets to Whole Lotta Yoga are available at three levels, from $20 to $50:
$20 Donation - All classes and workshops, plus a Whole Lotta Yoga Class Card, which gives you a complimentary class at all participating studios
$30 Donation - All classes and workshops, plus Whole Lotta Yoga Class Card and tank top
$50 Donation - All classes and workshops, plus Whole Lotta Yoga Class Card, tank top and raffle entry for prizes
Whole Lotta Yoga is presented by Whole Foods Market, Onnit, BoyarMiller Attorneys at Law and the Houston Press. Food trucks include Bowl’d Up Poke Truck, Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Smoothie Strong and Arepa Station.
