More than skin deep
More than 50 children and family members impacted by skin conditions and birthmarks gathered at Camp Dermadillo Family Day sponsored by A Children’s House for the Soul. Pediatric dermatologist Dr. Alanna Bree, founder of A Children’s House, organized the event to bring together people who truly understand what makes them unique and to empower affected children and teens by building self-confidence. Upcoming events are the non-profit’s annual Love The Skin You Are In Day on Nov. 11, Camp Dermadillo Reunion for former campers on Dec. 29 and a happy hour FUNdraiser on Feb. 9, all held at The Health Museum.
