A ring to it

Aaron Hafer pulled off a surprise proposal to his girlfriend, Caitlyn Collins. They were with her family in Nixon, Texas, to celebrate her birthday – and the birthday of her twin sister, Keegan Collins. Caitlyn grew up in Canyon Lake, and, as an avid runner, she spent a lot of time running the Canyon Lake dam. Aaron wanted to propose in a place that meant a lot to Caitlyn, and he was certain that she wouldn’t suspect anything if he planned a morning run at the lake. Caitlyn was shocked when Aaron dropped to a knee, holding a ring, before the run started. After the proposal, Aaron asked Caitlyn if they could meet her family for lunch to celebrate. Instead of the small gathering, Aaron’s parents, Aurora and Greg Hafer, hosted a luncheon for family members and close friends. She entered Gennaro’s Trattoria Italian restaurant and was greeted with a huge “Surprise!” The surprise was pulled off with the help of Keegan and her best friend, Kylie Wallis. Other helpers were Aaron’s childhood friend, Spencer Robinson, and cousin, DJ Swinyar, who were both at the dam to make sure no one would interrupt the proposal. Aaron’s cousin’s wife, Jenny Swinyar, was there capturing everything on camera. During the luncheon, his other cousin, Amy Swinyar, was busy with the video camera as well.
