Love for Lane

Cassandra Wagner (pictured, with Leukemia Lymphoma Society Boy of the Year Lane Rex) is raising funds for LLS, with a goal of $150,000 to fight blood cancer. Lane was selected to be the LLS boy of the year. He’s a student at Cockrell Elementary School, and he loves the Astros and playing baseball. Lane was diagnosed with a rare form of acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 5 and is currently undergoing chemo treatment. Money raised will go toward finding a cure for blood cancers like Lane’s, and anyone wanting to donate can visit teamsls.org. A charity golf tournament will be held on May 21 at Hearthstone Country Club. The grand finale gala wrapping up the campaign will be held at River Oaks Country Club on June 8.
