A sixth-grade first
The Presbyterian School of Houston’s sixth-grade girls basketball team (pictured) finished an undefeated season, including both regular-season games and tournaments. Presbyterian School participates in the Houston Junior Preparatory Conference, and the team had victories over Duchesne Academy, St. Francis Episcopal Day School, St. John’s School, River Oaks Baptist School and several others. Leading the team to victory was Sydney Parks (middle, with ball) who set a personal record of 200 points for the year. Sydney is the first Presbyterian School female athlete to score 200 points as a sixth grader, and the 11th female in the school’s history to achieve the honor. The undefeated champs are (from left) Ariel Bradshaw, Abigail Ahuero, Lauren Forgrave, Maureen Ebaugh, coach Sam Murray, Sydney Parks, Warner Stahlbaum, Claire Murray, Annabelle Woodcox and Brett Selldin.
