Two-time champs
For the second year in a row, the St. Cecilia Catholic School girls varsity basketball team won the Greater Houston Catholic Athletic Association 2A division championship. With an overall 15-4 record, a three-game playoff and championship game, the girls outscored their opponents by a combined score of 126-53. High scorers Lauren Cook and Margaret Cannon led the team to the championship victory over St. Thomas More, 34-22. Strong defense from the whole team sealed the win.
