Walk & Roll for Spinal Cord Injuries

After sustaining a severe neck and spinal cord injury last October, Jeffrey Feinstein, dad of three and a Buzz-area resident, has gone through two intensive phases of rehab, as well as outpatient rehab, at TIRR (The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research), one of the best rehabilitation facilities in the nation that specializes in spinal cord injuries.  Jeffrey has daily physical and occupational therapy, has been able to go back to work, and has celebrated multiple family celebrations and holidays at home with his family, because of the therapists and technological advancements available at TIRR Memorial Hermann.   

Jeffrey Feinstein and his wife Alli have created this fundraising event to provide active gear and assistive technology equipment to spinal cord injury patients at TIRR Memorial Hermann, through the TIRR Foundation. These adaptive technologies have enhanced Jeffrey’s ability to get back to work quicker, assisted in holding/grasping hand weights and workout equipment easier, and have supported him in using a manual chair. These products impact patients’ everyday lives, both at home and the work place, however there is a significant cost barrier. Their goal is to bring these product to more kids and adults living with SCI, and give them a much fuller sense of life.
