Bingo bash
Avondale House, a nonprofit school and residential program for children and adults with autism, hosted its inaugural Bingo Bash at the Junior League of Houston. Nearly 200 guests played bingo, led by Luke Mandola. Guests mingled between a silent auction, Texas-themed fair and a celebration of Avondale House. The event raised more than $75,000, which will support an expansion of services for students and clients. Christina Forgetta and Kaitlyn Merz shared the story of their sister and Avondale House client Beth. Bingo Bash co-chairs were Kerri Lynn and Tommy Inglesby (pictured), and committee members were Ann Turnbach, Melva Meronek, Christina Forgetta, Kaitlyn Merz and Kim Munier.
