Ringing in 2020 at the Stafford Centre
To start, there was an appetizer station of large shrimp and quail bites for the multi-course meal that had a variety of desserts such as an Oreo Chocolate Cake. A lively band, The Horizon, kept friends and family Anne and Richard Frachtman, Germaine and Jack Lalouf, Linda Pravda and Ralph Burdett, Ron and Mildred Teitelbaum, and Kathy and Will Wiener dancing to a mix of Top 40 songs. Although the band was, at heart, a C&W band, Rick’s request to play “Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother" and "All My Exes Live in Texas" wasn’t on their play list. No problem. Rick doesn’t have an ex. The balloon dropped and champagne was served at midnight.
