The eighth annual ReelAbilities Houston Film and Arts Festival will take place Feb. 11-20. Produced by the JFS Alexander Institute for Inclusion in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, the free festival promotes inclusion through art forms. Dee Dee Dochen (on left) is chair, and Benjy Hershorn (on right) is co-chair. ReelAbilities 2020 will feature 16 award-winning films, the UP Abilities speakers event, ReelMusic Concert, two art exhibits and educational programs in schools and workplaces. See ReelAbilitiesHouston.org. On Feb. 5, a lunch and panel discussion will mark the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act, led by Lex Frieden, festival honorary chair.
