Eripio
My name is Eripio, Eripi to my friends. It’s Latin for rescue. You see, after the Memorial Day flood, my family rescued me as a kitten (less than a pound and maybe 8 weeks old) from the roof of an apartment building. I was at death’s door, but the family’s daughter kept stuffing a medicine dropper down my throat for two weeks until I felt like hanging on and eating some food on my own. I’ve joined the family and keep busy with my job. My family fosters and prepares cats and kittens for adoption (12 last year). My nickname is “Uncle Eripi,” as I take care of the new kittens and make them feel at home. I give them their baths, keep them warm, and generally see that they are family-friendly. It’s a tough job, and I love repaying the gift.
