Music on the trails

Laurie Meister has walked the trails on Buffalo Bayou many times with her family, but they recently experienced the setting in a different way when they checked out the “ROCO on Buffalo Bayou” project. ROCO, in collaboration with Buffalo Bayou Partnership, has placed QR codes near public art pieces and landmarks at 40 different locations – the ultimate musical scavenger hunt. At each stop, the QR code links to a specific piece of music performed by ROCO. Pictured are Laurie with sons Gunther Howey, a fifth grader at Rummel Creek Elementary, and Ian Howey, a ninth grader at Spring Branch Academic Institute. The initiative will be in place through Dec. 31, in celebration of the Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s fifth anniversary.
