Doug Goodson and Rob Stewart (pictured), co-chairs of Spring Branch Education Foundation’s (SBEF) ninth annual Sporting Clay Tournament, welcomed 56 teams to the Greater Houston Sports Club. Before the day was over, the men and women had raised a record-breaking $58,726 for grants and scholarships for Spring Branch ISD. SBEF executive director Cece Thompson (pictured, center) is grateful to the community of vendors and neighbors who stepped up to support the foundation, especially while fundraising has been challenging during the pandemic.

Editor’s note: The Buzz congratulates associate editor Jordan Steinfeld and her husband Matthew on the recent arrival of baby Sloane. Jordan is taking a short break to spend time with Sloane.
