A sweet soiree
The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center held its 31st Annual Children’s Scholarship Ball, themed “Life is Sweet at the J.” The virtual gala, which was attended by 248 households, included a silent auction and raffle prizes. The evening featured a candid conversation with Emmy Award winner, author, producer, and dad Andy Cohen, moderated by Josh Samuels. Every guest was provided with a virtual event box including a cocktail mix and truffles; table hosts also received a catered dinner. The night raised over $493,000, which will support the Irvin Kaplan Scholarship Fund at the J. This fund provides financial support for children to participate in the Merfish Infant Childcare Program, Karol Mushers STARS Early Intervention Program, and early childhood education programs at the Bertha Alyce and the Ellen Boniuk Childhood Schools as well the J’s Summer Day Camp program. Ball chairs were Samantha Lee and Lea Radom, and auction chairs were Allie Danziger, Lauren Sancton, and Holly Radom.
