Selecting school supplies
Childspree, an annual back-to-school event benefiting Child Advocates that’s co-sponsored by The Junior League of Houston, is usually held in-person at a local Target; this year, Junior League volunteers weren’t able to gather in-person as a group due to rising Covid cases but instead served as personal shoppers for 100 kids placed in foster care. Child Advocates provided each child with a new backpack, and League members provided supplies to be packed in each bag such as a pencil bag, notebook, pencils, erasers, a sharpener, crayons, scissors, and glue sticks.
