Art Walk to Celebrate Artists Experiencing Homelessness at St. Paul’s Houston

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church is excited to announce an Art Walk this April featuring pieces created by those experiencing homelessness.

On Sunday, April 24, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., St. Paul’s invites those from the Houston area to join in an outdoor afternoon of celebrating artistic expression. Intended for all who value building community across differences in circumstance, the Art Walk will include an exhibit, picnic lunch, and creative space to make art. The event is free for all. More information is available at www.stpaulshouston.org/arttent.

All pieces displayed at the Art Walk were created by participants at the Art Tent. On Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Art Tent gathers in the parking lot at St. Paul’s in front of the Emergency Aid Coalition Food Pantry and Clothing Center. With the food pantry assisting with physical needs, The Art Tent allows expression of internal needs and experiences on paper. Participants gather to create on their terms, whether silently or in conversation.

Located in the heart of the Museum District on the corner of Main and Binz, St. Paul’s UMC strives to be a cathedral for Houston that embodies its diversity, inspires faith, and leads change for the common good of all peoples and communities. Learn more at www.stpaulshouston.org.
