Ellie
Hey, I’m Ellie! I’m a rescue pup. When my parents first took me home, they tried to take me on walks, but I didn’t really get it. They tried to teach me in the backyard, but my backyard has four cats in it (no thanks!). I prefer to walk on the esplanade, where I can smell all the other dogs. Drinking out of a bowl was confusing for me too. You guys don’t do that. My mom bought me a “lick mat” to teach me how. It’s hard to train me because I don’t really like treats. I want attention instead! The only treat I really like is my peanut butter and banana puppy yogurt. Now that I like walks, my ears go up for two words: “walk” and “bye-bye.” I’m a pretty good student too. I just learned to spell “W-A-L-K.” My parents thought they could spell it without me getting excited, but I know what’s going on.
