Maisha Colter, chief executive officer of Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA), and Paula and Steve Winter (pictured, from left) are preparing for the Honoring Texas Victims Dinner on Oct. 11 at Tony’s Restaurant. Paula and Steve, along with Lisa and Eric Elder (not pictured) are event chairs for the dinner, benefitting AVDA, that will honor the hundreds of Texans who lost their lives last year because of domestic violence. Supporters will dine on a four-course meal created for the event by Executive Chef Kate McLean, with wine pairings selected by Houston Wine Merchant Manager and AVDA Board member Sommelier Antonio Gianola.
