Trey
It was a Saturday morning. My granddogmother (who was house and dog-sitting) let me out onto the patio. What she didn’t know was that the meter reader had just passed through the yard and left the gate open. She did know that my burning desire in life is to escape! She called the West U Police then headed down the street (in her pajamas) calling for me. A nice man in a black SUV asked if she was looking for a Beagle – “if so, he’s with a lady up at Tiny’s.” Alas, no dice. Not long afterwards, a lady with children in her car pulled into the driveway. She opened the door, and I bounded out! This lady had taken me to have my chip scanned and brought me home. She was gone in a flash – just like Wonder Woman! I’m hoping she reads this and accepts my grandma’s belated gratitude for an incredible West U neighbor!
