Guardians of the human spirit
Holocaust Museum Houston’s 2022 Guardian of the Human Spirit luncheon raised more than $680,000 for educational programming. Macey and Harry Reasoner (pictured, from left), with fellow luncheon co-chairs Anne and Albert Chao, Nancy Li-Tarim and Dr. Soner Tarim, and Cindy and Frank M.K. Liu, helped draw 800 museum supporters to the Hilton Americas-Houston to honor Y. Ping Sun and David W. Leebron with the Guardian of the Human Spirit Award. Established in 1997, the award acknowledges dedicated individuals and institutions who have worked to enhance the lives of others and to better humankind. ABC News Nightline co-anchor Juju Chang joined the celebration live from New York City to give her keynote address, and guests enjoyed a decadent Kosher lunch.
