The Art of Gratitude benefiting Friends of Down Syndrome

The public is invited to a creative benefit at Mama Mia Fusion (between West U and Bellaire). Sip bubbles and enjoy light bites while starting your first art gratitude journal. Guests will learn a variety of art journaling techniques and support a great cause at the same time.

J.J. Moore, long-time student at Friends of Down Syndrome, is thrilled to announce a fundraiser: The Art of Gratitude, a hands-on workshop that marries art journaling with gratitude journaling. Inspired by his appreciation for Friends of Down Syndrome, JJ wanted to give back and say, “thanks,” at the same time. Attendees will learn a variety of art techniques designed to channel stress and anxiety into a creative flow, led by My Artsy Coach.

J.J. Moore, 53, partnered with My Artsy Coach and Mama Mia Fusion - West U for the event. Tickets are $50 (includes the workshop, supplies, bubbles, and light bites).

Since FoDS’ founding, J.J. Moore, Meyerland resident, and his family have raised thousands of dollars for the ground-breaking program at Friends of Down Syndrome. He’s hoping this one will help the organization finalize the buildout for their new school at 8425 West Road in Houston.
